Hi, I'm Julien.

I'm a writer, producer, and unapologetically curious human who somehow turned talking to strangers into a whole show.

I'm also a proud brother, the friend who'll undoubtedly show up late to dinner with three amazing bottles of wine, a former restaurant manager who still stacks plates out of habit, and someone who routinely picks up litter on the sidewalk because someone has to.

I believe good conversations can change a day, laughter is one of life's greatest currencies, and Mariah Carey is, in fact, the best thing since the lightbulb.

When I'm not writing stories or producing projects, you'll probably find me wandering Los Angeles, overthinking fonts, searching for a perfect f*** for the moment, or convincing someone they've got a story worth telling.

I'm not afraid of controversy or discussing difficult topics. I enjoy experiencing the differences between perception and reality, anxiety and fear, love and hate, and how similar they are.

I created Safer Stranger because I think the world feels a little less intimidating when we slow down long enough to really listen to one another.
